That is why we created Solomon James, not just to provide services, but to help people build with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
WHY WE EXIST
Starting a business is exciting. Building one that lasts is another challenge entirely. Too many entrepreneurs are expected to navigate taxes, accounting, financial decisions, and long term planning without ever being shown the fundamentals. They have the drive, but not always the guidance. We exist to help close that gap. Through education, practical systems, and trusted support, we help people make informed decisions, avoid preventable mistakes, and build stronger financial foundations for themselves and the people they love.
WHO WE ARE
Solomon James is a veteran owned financial education and consulting brand built on the belief that knowledge should be accessible, practical, and rooted in integrity. Through GEN5 Consultant Group, we provide tax preparation, tax planning, business consultation, and business formation and filing assistance for entrepreneurs who are serious about building something meaningful. Think of it this way. If your business consultant is your head coach, your accounting is your offensive coordinator. Together, they help you understand your numbers, strengthen your decision making, and build the foundation that supports everything else.
WHY THE NAME SOLOMON JAMES
The name Solomon James is deeply personal. Solomon is Shemerien Solomon's family name. James is Eric James's family name. When our lives came together, so did those names. As we studied Scripture together, we realized those same names pointed to lessons that reflected the kind of business and the kind of people we wanted to become. Solomon is remembered for asking God for wisdom before seeking wealth or power, reminding us to value understanding, thoughtful leadership, and lifelong learning. James reminds us that faith should never remain an idea. It should shape the way we work, serve, lead, and live. Belief should produce action. That realization transformed a business name into a mission. Today, Solomon James represents wisdom that leads, faith that works, and the conviction that meaningful success is built one honest decision at a time. That same conviction inspires our motto: If you won't believe it, you won't achieve it. Go for it.
OUR CORE VALUES
Long before Solomon James became a business, it became a way we wanted to live. Our core values are rooted in Galatians 5:22 and 23, where Scripture describes the Fruit of the Spirit. We do not claim to embody these qualities perfectly. We pursue them intentionally and ask God to shape us through them every day.
